Confessions is a conceptual design project. A message of choice is applied to a recycled IKEA lamp in Morse code.
To place an order, clients submit a short text (roughly 75 words max.) of personal relevance: a poem, a song lyric, a quote, a mantra, a private joke. Deep dark secrets are strongly encouraged; we promise full discretion. Once submitted, the text is translated into code and manually applied onto calligraphy paper in order to create a customized lamp. The finished product allows one to reap the benefits of bright-lit redemption (ridding oneself of a guilty pleasure) by confessing only once, and having the confession on display at home without running the risk of further exposure – unless, of course, you have expert code readers for friends.
Confession cubes, folded from the inner sleeves of vinyl albums, are also available.
